I offer private travel design: personal, start-to-finish trip planning without having to piece every detail together yourself.
I design for couples, honeymooners, families, friends traveling together, and solo travelers alike, for reunions, proposals, anniversaries, and every unforgettable experience in between.
I’ve traveled to 32 countries and lived in 6, so I know how much the small choices matter, from where you stay to how the days flow and which experiences are truly worth your time. Tell me how you like to travel, and I’ll build the trip around you.

Settle into an overwater stay, then spend an unhurried day exploring the lagoon by private boat.
Pair an elegant West End evening with a neighborhood dinner and the city’s icons after dark.
Cross the Alps aboard the Glacier Express, with storybook villages and dramatic peaks beyond the window.
Move from quiet temple paths to a considered tea experience and lantern-lit lanes.
Float above the fairy chimneys at sunrise, then explore the valleys and cave towns below.
Chase the northern lights through waterfall country and pause in restorative geothermal water.
Cross the savanna on a private game drive, watching wildlife move through the grasslands.

47 tabs open. Three Pinterest boards. A saved folder on Instagram that needs its own zip code. You’ve watched every “Top 10” video and you’re less sure than when you started.
The problem isn’t too many amazing places. It’s that you haven’t figured out what you actually want yet. Let’s fix that.
Picking a place first is starting at the end. Paris when you’re burned out is just an expensive nap with better pastries.
Ask instead: how do I want to feel when I come back? Rested? Energized? Like you finally did something for yourself? Pick three words. Every time a destination tempts you with a sunset Reel, check it against those words. If it doesn’t match, swipe left.
The fastest way to ruin a trip is picking a destination you can’t afford to enjoy. Switzerland looks incredible until a coffee costs $9 and you’re doing mental math at every meal. That’s not a vacation. That’s financial anxiety with a view.
Take your real number (not the “if I skip lunches” number), subtract 20% for surprises, and plan on what’s left. And own your travel style. Love nice hotels and long dinners? Portugal, Mexico, and Turkey will treat you like royalty for the price of a Holiday Inn in Zurich.
A long weekend and a three-week trip are different species. Stop trying to “do” Italy in four days.
Weekend? Stay close. A two-hour flight to somewhere great beats twelve hours to somewhere perfect that you barely see. A week? That’s the sweet spot. Go deep in one place or do a city plus a coast. Two weeks or more? Think in chapters, and build in rest days. You’re visiting the destination, not conquering it.
Venice in November: misty, romantic, all yours. Venice in August: a human traffic jam with humidity. Same city, different planet.
Check weather, crowds, and what’s actually open. That Greek island? Half the restaurants close November to April. And here’s a secret: shoulder season is usually the best season. Good weather, no crowds, lower prices, happier locals. Late May in the Mediterranean. September in Japan. You’re welcome.
Solo? Go where YOU want. The weird destination nobody else gets. This is the only time you get to be completely selfish with the itinerary.
Couples: romance plus things to do. A food city with walkable streets and a hotel you’d never leave. Families: short flights, easy logistics, beach plus culture. Friends: energy, flexibility, and price ranges that don’t make anyone uncomfortable. Walkable cities save friendships.
The best trip isn’t the most impressive one. It’s the one where everyone actually had a good time.
Pick three destinations. Not fifteen. Three. Run a gut check on each: Can I get there without losing days to travel? Does the season work? Does the budget hold? Does it match my three words?
Then pick the one you’re most excited about. Logic is great, but the best trips are the ones you wanted before you booked them.
Once you decide, commit. Close the tabs. Stop asking “but what about...” A well-planned trip to your second choice beats a half-hearted trip to your first.
The best destination isn’t the most popular or the farthest. It’s the one that fits your life right now.
At Travel with Polin, I design personalized journeys around your interests and travel style. No generic packages, no 47 open tabs required.
